Remittances from Egyptians Working Abroad Record USD 41.5 Billion During 2026

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad recorded unprecedented inflows during 2025, marking an all-time high, as they soared by 40.5% to register about USD 41.5 billion (compared to around USD 29.6 billion in 2024). During H1 of FY 2025/2026 (July/Dec. 2025), remittances also hiked by 29.6%, reaching nearly USD 22.1 billion (compared to USD 17.1 billion during the period July/Dec. 2024). On a monthly basis, remittances increased by 24.0% in December 2025, registering about USD 4.0 billion (a record-high monthly level) against around USD 3.2 billion in December 2024.
