Huawei Concludes 2025 ‘Spark Infinity’ Cloud Developers Competition with Egyptian Teams Securing the top five Spots


Huawei has successfully concluded the second edition of the 2025 Huawei Developers Competition in Northern Africa, reinforcing its position as a leading regional platform for discovering and nurturing digital talent. The regional finals were held at The Imhotep Innovation Centre in the Knowledge City in the New Capital.
The 2025 edition saw widespread participation, with over 1,400 developers and 389 teams from more than 10 countries across Northern Africa. Organized annually by Huawei, the competition aims to encourage developers and students to transform their ideas into innovative, practical solutions to real-world challenges using advanced tools and technologies provided by Huawei Cloud, reflecting Huawei’s ongoing commitment to strengthening an open cloud ecosystem and supporting digital entrepreneurship across Northern Africa.
It also benefits from the technical and training support offered by key government partners, including the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI), and the Information Technology Institute (ITI). This collaboration helps equip participants with specialized knowledge, address industry needs, and strengthen the connections within the ecosystem, ultimately enhancing the quality and impact of the experience and its outcomes.
After intense competition and a joint evaluation by the judges, Egyptian teams dominated the competition, claiming the top five positions. The first prize was awarded to Team Vulnera, while the second prize went to Team AIX and Team AtosFit. The third prize was awarded to Team Tekronyx, Team Sightmate, and Team Nerd_People. In addition, the Innovation Award was presented to Team SIRAJSOFT, Team NeoGen, and Team CloudV2.2.2, in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
Out of the 20 semi-finalists, nine teams stood out for their exceptional talent, representing Northern Africa region. The Egyptian teams included AIX, AtosFit, CloudV2.2.2, NaN, Tekronyx HCT, and Vulnera. The other top teams included NeoGen from Morocco, Nerd_People from Ethiopia, and SIRAJSOFT from Algeria. These teams showcased cutting-edge AI and cloud-based solutions to address challenges across diverse sectors such as e-commerce, cybersecurity, healthcare, renewable energy, digital healthcare, and human resources.
In this context, Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Executive Director of the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), stated: “The Huawei Developer Competition embodies a leading model of constructive integration between the public and private sectors in building qualified digital talents capable of leading digital transformation pathways. NTI’s collaboration in this initiative stems from its national role in developing and empowering young talents, enabling them to acquire advanced skills through the training of 612 NTI affiliates in the fields of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and telecommunications, who were certified as Huawei Cloud Developers and participated in the competition.
Dr. Heba Saleh, Director of the Information Technology Institute (ITI), said: “Driven by ITI’s belief in the importance of learning through modern and innovative methods, our participation in the Huawei Cloud Competition in collaboration with Huawei represents a genuine support for the development of young tech talent. The participation of young developers this year reflects the energy of a generation capable of innovation and building practical solutions using cloud computing and artificial intelligence technologies. At ITI, we believe that developing digital capabilities is the fastest path to creating real opportunities for youth and enhancing Egypt’s competitiveness in the digital economy. We are delighted to see such a wealth of talent developing practical and promising solutions using the latest cloud computing and AI technologies, and the success of Egyptian teams today is clear proof that investing in young minds is the most valuable and sustainable investment.”
Dr. Yasser Abdel Bary, Head of the Electronics Industry Program at ITIDA, said that the Competition represents a practical model of public–private collaboration in building digital capabilities. He noted that the competition successfully attracted a large number of students, professionals, and entrepreneurs, and enhanced their ability to transform innovative ideas into deployable technology solutions using advanced cloud computing and AI technologies.
Speaking on behalf of Eng. Ahmed El-Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, Dr. Abdel Bary added that ITIDA’s participation in supporting such competitions is part of its broader strategy to develop digital skills and align practical training with labor market needs. This approach, he explained, contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of Egyptian tech talent and supporting the growth of Egypt’s digital services exports.

Worth mentioning that Egypt has led participation with more than 800 developers and over 200 teams, followed by strong representation from Algeria, Morocco, and Ethiopia. The competition also featured more than 50 startups and corporate teams, alongside 150 student teams from over 20 Egyptian universities, including universities of Cairo, Ain Shams University, Mansoura, and Alexandria, Egyptian Russian, Delta.
